Key Qualifications:

Valid credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Demonstrated experience working directly with children and adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Familiarity supporting students with cochlear implants Strong communication, flexibility, and organizational skills Ability to travel within the county as required

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and tailored educational support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (caseload of approximately 30) Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other service providers Assess students' progress and adapt individual education plans to promote growth Guide and advise school staff on best practices for inclusion and accessibility Ensure students receive services as determined by their IEPs Serve as a resource for families, promoting strong home-school partnerships This is a full-time, 35-hour per week, on-site contract role—ideal for educators eager to move beyond virtual environments and engage directly with students and colleagues in person.
