This onsite, contract role enables you to impact educational experiences by bridging communication between students, their teachers, and peers through sign language interpretation. In this full-time position (approximately 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day), you will be an essential support within a school environment. Your contributions will help foster inclusivity and ensure students receive access to educational content and social interactions. Openings are available for both middle and high school assignments, with preferences considered.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or a 4.0+ score on EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or

NAD/ACCI

assessments Candidates with an EIPA below 4.0 may also be considered (will serve as ASL Para) Experience working in educational settings is a plus Skills in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting Comfortable collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families

Responsibilities:

Facilitate understanding and communication among students, educators, and school personnel Interpret classroom instruction, school events, and conversations for hard of hearing and deaf students Support students academically in subjects like reading, math, and writing Assist with vocational and life skills development Supervise students during classroom activities and outside events
