9651422-95954 Job Description Step into a vital role supporting communication and educational access for hard of hearing and deaf students within a dynamic school environment. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for American Sign Language Interpreters or those with sign language proficiency, offering the chance to foster meaningful connections and make a daily impact. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through the 2026-2027 school year, with approximately six-hour days, five days a week.

Key Qualifications:

Certification from the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf or a score of 4.0 or higher on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or

NAD/ACCI

assessments preferred Candidates with EIPA scores under 4.0 can also be considered as ASL Paraeducators Experience interpreting in educational settings, with an ability to facilitate communication for middle and high school students Skilled in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting Passion for supporting deaf and hard of hearing students in academic, vocational, and daily living contexts

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide essential sign language interpreting between students, staff, and peers Assist students with academic subjects and facilitate classroom participation Support students during classroom, community, and outdoor activities, ensuring inclusion and engagement Effectively collaborate with educators and support personnel to enhance the learning environment This role offers the fulfillment of shaping a students school experience and will match your talents to a caseload and grade level that aligns with your preferences.
