Step into a dynamic and meaningful school-based contract role supporting students by facilitating communication between deaf or hard of hearing students, their peers, and school staff. In this essential position, youll play a key part in promoting educational access and inclusivity for middle and high school students. Schedules are full-time, approximately 30 hours per week (6 hours daily), with several openings available for immediate start and ongoing need through the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with experience interpreting in educational environments Certification from the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or a minimum score of 4.0 on recognized assessments (EIPA, ESSE-I/R, NAD/ACCI); candidates with EIPA scores below 4.0 will be considered for ASL Paraeducator roles Ability to provide both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpretation Skilled at supporting students with core academics and life/vocational skills Capable of working collaboratively with students, teachers, and diverse school staff Preference for onsite work with middle or high school learners; let us know your grade-level interest
