Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings beneficial Certification such as EIPA or RID (preferred but not required) Strong commitment to facilitating accessible communication Ability to adapt to new environments quickly
Responsibilities:
Work one-on-one as a Sign Language Interpreter for a high school student Serve as a backfill for an on-site interpreter unable to fulfill their contract Ensure effective, accurate interpreting in classroom and school activities Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff for student success Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
