Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience interpreting in school settings, preferably with high school students Familiarity with educational terminology and classroom dynamics RID certification or equivalent preferred Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal abilities Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and student needsKey Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one interpreting services for a high school student throughout the school day Facilitate communication between the student, educators, and peers Interpret classroom instructions, discussions, and extracurricular activities as needed Support a positive learning environment by ensuring effective accessibility practices Collaborate as needed with educational teams to adapt interpreting approaches for student success This contract to hire position offers the stability of ongoing assignment, and the rewarding potential to grow into a long-term role.
