Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with communication needs in an engaging educational setting. This position, based near Fort Benning, GA, is ideal for skilled Sign Language Interpreters who have a passion for fostering inclusive environments and making an impact in students' daily lives.
Key Qualifications:
Possession of an active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Alternatively, candidates with close EIPA scores intending to retake the exam may be considered for a SLI tech role, with potential transition to a full SLI position during the school year Comfortable completing detailed daily service logs Ability to collaborate with administrators regarding age group and caseload preferences based on your experience and strengths Strong communication, adaptability, and a commitment to ensuring every student receives high-quality interpreting services
Responsibilities:
Provide onsite sign language interpretation for students and staff in a K-12 public school setting Adapt to various classroom environments and age groups, determined through interview and school needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided each day Collaborate with educators and staff to support student learning and engagement Attend any pre/post planning days as needed to ensure preparedness and a seamless school-year transition The contract is expected to run from ASAP through May 21, 2027, with the possibility of some additional planning days around those dates. Full-time hours are preferred (at least 37.5 hours per week), but part-time availability may also be considered.
