Salary Range:
$49,895—$86,551 annually Early Interventionist WRSD is seeking a qualified Early Interventionist to provide comprehensive unbiased family support to include information and instruction on language modeling and acquisition, educational options, hearing technology support, and communication training. To act as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide assessments and support for the IFSP. To assist in the transition to preschool. Primary Duties Work with infants and toddlers who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families Provide early intervention services as designated on the IFSP in the home and in community settings Work with families and team members to develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans Provide parents with information about deafness, language development, communication options including sign language, family activities, communication skills, and other related information Provide educational and emotional support to parents and family members; make referrals to appropriate community resources Create and carry out family and developmental playgroups Provide service coordination and collaborate with team members from other agencies Maintain records of home visits, child progress, and parent education Complete reports according to Massachusetts Early Intervention Client System procedures Prepare necessary reports for
IFSP/IEP
meetings Participate in workshops and other in-service training sessions as scheduled during specified school hours Requirements Masters' degree Massachusetts Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf Intermediate rating on the SLPI exam or comparable sign language proficiency exam within two years of hire Knowledge of communication modalities Salary will be based on degree(s) and experience.
