This full-time contract position is designed for dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting students in an educational setting. Located near Leonardtown, MD, you will be working 1:1 with a student who requires American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services throughout the school day. In this role, youll provide crucial support to ensure clear communication, access to curriculum, and a seamless educational experience for your assigned student. The schedule offers 35 hours per week, following the standard school hours and academic calendar, with an anticipated start as soon as possible and continuation through late May 2027.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Proficiency in ASL interpreting for educational environments Valid EIPA score of 3.0 or higher (required) Experience working with children or within school settings is strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Adaptability and patience to support diverse learning needs Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting during all aspects of the students school day Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers in academic and social settings Collaborate with educational staff to ensure inclusion and support for the students learning goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the school Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to further the students growth Immerse yourself in a focused, meaningful position where your expertise creates positive outcomes every day.
