Key Qualifications and Skills:

Hold a valid Sign Language Interpreter license Possess an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, or hold current RID certification Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably with elementary-age students Strong understanding of Deaf culture, student confidentiality, and professionalism Reliable, punctual, and able to arrive onsite daily before student arrival Committed to onsite-only assignments (no telepractice permitted)

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for a student at Troutman Elementary, ensuring clear and accurate communication Facilitate classroom participation and engagement by interpreting teacher instruction, peer interactions, and general school activities Collaborate with educators and support staff to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment Prepare and remain available throughout the scheduled day (Monday Friday, 7:00am 2:30pm) Maintain required documentation and support student progress as needed
