What We're Looking For:

Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter with prior experience in school settings strongly preferred Minimum score of 3.5 EIPA required Demonstrated ability to accurately and fluently interpret spoken language to American Sign Language and vice versa Able to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families Adaptable to varying student needs, school routines, and IEP requirements Comfort providing services either onsite (preferred) or virtually (VOCO considered) Strong professionalism, confidentiality, time management, and ethical standards

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, accurate interpretation during classes, activities, and school events for a middle school student Prepare for daily coursework, reviewing class materials and lesson plans to ensure accurate interpretation Support student engagement and academic success by promoting inclusion and effective communication Serve as a key liaison between the student, classroom teachers, and staff to support the IEP and learning goals Maintain necessary documentation as required by school and district procedures Foster a respectful and supportive environment, ensuring equal access to instructional materials and discussions
