Qualifications:
Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, NIC, or equivalent) Previous experience interpreting within educational settings preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Flexibility and adaptability to new environments and student needs
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken and signed communication between students, faculty, and staff Support students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accessing curriculum and classroom activities Collaborate with educators to provide optimal learning experiences Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards Participate in school meetings and contribute to student support plans
