9521101-97502 Job Description Make an impact supporting students in a dynamic K-12 environment for the 2026-2027 school year! We're seeking four skilled, onsite Sign Language Interpreters to collaborate with educational teams and provide vital communication access. This full-time contract role spans from August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027, covering campuses in the Rosenburg and Douglas areas. Youll work closely with students and faculty, facilitating effective communication and supporting the inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing students across all grade levels. Your expertise ensures every student has equitable access to instruction and school activities.
What were looking for:
Current Oregon certification or licensure required for Sign Language Interpreters Previous experience working as an SLI in K-12 settings preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language and knowledge of interpreting protocols Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and organizational skills to thrive in a school-based environment Responsibilities include: Providing interpretation services within classrooms, assemblies, and meetings Supporting students during academic and extracurricular activities Assisting teachers and staff in fostering inclusive learning environments Maintaining accurate records of interpreting assignments and schedules Adapting interpreting techniques to best suit individual student needs Participating in IEP and other relevant meetings as needed Youll enjoy the satisfaction of directly supporting students educational journeys in a positive environmentwhile working with dedicated colleagues who value your expertise.
