Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Prior experience interpreting for children in educational settings, particularly younger students Ability to work comfortably one-on-one and adapt to a fast-paced classroom Collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers and support staff Flexibility to meet the evolving needs of a student new to sign language

Role Responsibilities:

Provide in-person sign language interpretation for a kindergarten student throughout the school day Support clear communication between the student and teachers, staff, and peers Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment Adjust interpreting strategies as the students familiarity with sign language develops Collaborate with the educational team to maintain best practices and ongoing support

Position Details:
