This contract opportunity runs from September 9th, 2026, through June 15th, 2027, providing consistent weekly hours33 per weekwhile working directly with a kindergartener acclimating to the world of sign language. Your expertise will be essential in helping this student navigate classroom activities, connect with peers and educators, and build foundational communication skills.

Your schedule follows school hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:

7:15 am 2:15 pm

Wednesday:

7:15 am 12:15 pm

Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in K-12 school settings Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt interpretation style for young, beginner sign language learners Commitment to providing in-person support, as the student requires hands-on guidance

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, age-appropriate interpretation between student, staff, and peers Facilitate inclusive participation in academic and social activities Support the students learning as she becomes more comfortable using sign language Adjust techniques based on evolving student needs and teacher feedback Collaborate regularly with educators and specialists This role offers the unique chance to make a meaningful difference from the very start of the school year and see your impact grow day by day.
