Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) (Preferred) VQAS Level III or
EIPA 3.5
score (pending final requirements) TB test required by the state of Virginia Ability to initiate VA Department of Social Services background check immediately Prior school-based or child-centric interpreting experience valued
Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpretation services on an as-needed basis Adapt communication facilitation for diverse student age groups Collaborate with special education and general education staff Maintain confidentiality and uphold student privacy standards Stay flexible regarding assignments and schools based on district needs
