9663587-98208 Job Description A unique opportunity is available for an experienced paraprofessional with strong American Sign Language (ASL) skills. A student requires dedicated 1:1 support from an ASL interpreter/paraprofessional during the entire school day at a high school. This contract position begins immediately and follows a consistent schedule from 7:15am to 2:15pm.

Qualifications:

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience as a paraprofessional or ASL interpreter in a school setting is highly desirable Ability to establish rapport and maintain professional boundaries while working 1:1 with high school students Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Responsive, reliable, and punctual for daily attendance Comfortable with providing support per students needs throughout various classes and settings

Responsibilities:

Facilitate clear and effective communication between the student and staff using ASL Support the student during classroom activities, transitions, and interactions throughout the school day Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure the students needs are met Encourage student independence while providing necessary assistance for full participation in academic and social activities Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times This contract-based position offers immediate placement and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a students educational experience.
