9651819-98208 Job Description Make a meaningful impact in education and support communication access for both students and staff as a sign language interpreter working with K-12 learners. This contract position offers the opportunity to utilize your American Sign Language (ASL) skills in a dynamic environment, providing essential interpreting services throughout an entire district. Candidates fluent in ASL are encouraged to apply, including non-certified paraprofessionals who demonstrate strong proficiency.

Two qualification pathways are available:

Qualifications:

ASL fluency is required; paraprofessionals and certified interpreters welcomed

EIPA Pathway:

Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0+ and successful completion of the

EIPA Written Test RID Pathway:

National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and successful completion of the

EIPA Written Test Role Responsibilities:

Deliver interpreting services between spoken English and ASL for K-12 students and educational staff Support inclusive communication in various classroom and school settings Collaborate closely with teachers, service providers, and other educational team members Maintain confidentiality and support individualized educational goals Adapt communication approaches to accommodate a diverse caseload

Job Details:

Contract term: September 2, 2026 June 11, 2027

Workweek:
