9678404-98208 Job Description Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting both staff and students with interpreting services for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity, beginning on September 2, 2026, and concluding June 11, 2027, offers 30 to 32.5 hours per week across five days. Youll work with K-12 students, adapting to a varied caseload as you foster inclusion and communication throughout the district. Earn between $28 and $42 per hour, depending on your skills and credentials.

Qualifications:

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required; non-certified paraprofessionals with strong ASL skills are also encouraged to apply. Must meet one of the following:

EIPA Pathway:

Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher plus a passing EIPA Written Test.

RID Pathway:

National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through RID plus a passing EIPA Written Test. Previous experience supporting students or educators in school settings is a plus. Commitment to fostering a positive and accessible learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpreting services for students and staff district-wide. Facilitate effective communication to promote student engagement and learning. Adapt interpreting strategies to match classroom dynamics and individual needs. Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and administrators. Maintain confidentiality and support an inclusive school culture.
