Key Qualifications:

Certification and credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter Previous interpreting experience, preferably within educational or preschool environments Ability to adapt communication approaches for preschool-aged children Strong understanding of interpreting ethics and confidentiality requirements Attentive, reliable, and collaborative, working effectively with teachers and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, accurate sign language interpretation for students during classroom activities and instructional time Collaborate with teachers to ensure all communications and curriculum are accessible to students using sign language Support student participation, engagement, and understanding during group and individual interactions Foster a positive and supportive environment where every child can succeed Assist with other communication needs as directed by school staff
