Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on mechanical systems, including engines, suspension, brakes, shocks and struts, tires, and steering components. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, transmission services, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections. Diagnose engine-performance, drivability, and no-start concerns. Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to other technicians while helping maintain an efficient shop workflow. Review difficult diagnoses and completed repairs to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality workmanship. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently while following established safety standards. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot problems on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Deliver exceptional customer service by clearly explaining repair procedures and providing professional maintenance recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience in the automotive repair industry, preferably in a dealership or independent repair shop. Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and schematics. Hands-on experience with oil changes, wheel alignments, and tire services is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
