Approximately October through February Light Up The Burbs is hiring an experienced holiday lighting installer for the upcoming season. We install professional Christmas lighting and décor on residential, commercial, HOA, and municipal properties throughout Chicagoland. This position is intended for someone with professional holiday-lighting experience. The ideal candidate can safely and efficiently install roofline lighting, trees, wreaths, garland, and other outdoor décor with limited supervision. Crew-lead opportunities may be available for the right candidate. Responsibilities Install and remove professional holiday lighting and décor Install roofline lighting with proper clips, spacing, and clean electrical connections Wrap trees, columns, railings, and other landscape or architectural features Troubleshoot lights, timers, cords, and electrical connections Safely use extension ladders, step ladders, and aerial lifts when applicable Protect customers' roofs, gutters, landscaping, and property Organize and care for lights, cords, clips, tools, and equipment Communicate professionally with customers and crew members Help train and lead less-experienced installers when assigned Required Qualifications Previous professional holiday-lighting installation experience Comfortable working outdoors and at heights Able to safely work from ladders and on residential and commercial rooflines Able to lift and carry ladders, decorations, and equipment Valid driver's license with a good driving record Dependable transportation to our Plainfield shop Available for full-time seasonal hours, including overtime and occasional Saturdays during peak season Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively with a crew Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a holiday-lighting installation crew Familiarity with commercial-grade C7/C9 lighting, vampire plugs, timers, and extension systems Experience operating boom lifts or other aerial equipment Experience with commercial, municipal, or large-scale holiday displays Ability to troubleshoot electrical and lighting issues in the field What We Offer $26+ per hour Overtime opportunities during the busiest part of the season Crew-lead opportunities for qualified applicants Established routes, organized scheduling, and professional equipment Potential opportunity for additional work with National SoftWash outside the holiday season Positive, team-oriented work environment How to Apply Please submit your résumé or a brief summary of your holiday-lighting experience.
