A Lighting Technician sets up, maintains, and dismantles light fixtures, lighting control devices, and the associated lighting electrical and rigging equipment used for photography, television, film, video, and live productions. May focus or operate light fixtures, attach color filters or other lighting accessories.

Compensation:
$25-$30 per hour depending on experience.
Position Overview:
We are looking for dependable Seasonal Show Technicians to help support a large drive-thru holiday light show in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This is a hands-on field role for someone who can help set up, test, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain lighting, audio, show-control, networking, power, and site equipment during the holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
Show Operations and Technical Support Assist with setup, testing, daily startup, operation, shutdown, and maintenance of show equipment. Troubleshoot lighting, audio, show controllers, Raspberry Pi / FPP equipment, networking, power, props, and field hardware. Help keep the show running smoothly during operating nights. Identify issues quickly, communicate clearly, and support repairs or workarounds when needed. Help organize cables, tools, spare parts, controllers, equipment, and site materials. Follow safety procedures while working around vehicles, electrical equipment, outdoor conditions, tools, ladders, and lifts.
Qualifications:
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors during a seasonal event. Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the show season. Comfortable lifting, carrying, pulling cable, using basic tools, and working in a field/site environment. Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learn show systems. Reliable transportation to the Pawtucket, RI site.
Preferred Experience:
Holiday light shows, live events, production, field tech work, lighting, audio, DMX, networking, computers, show control, Raspberry Pi / FPP, low-voltage work, basic electrical, cabling, tools, ladders, lifts, or site operations.
