Job Description

Job Title ASUP Films Director Department Student Activities Terms and Hours Flexible hours, some evening and weekend comittements Job Category Student Employment Hourly Wage Volunteer Stipend ($2,250 per semester) Job Summary The ASUP Films Director is responsible for planning fun, engaging, and dynamic film programs and events for the UP student body. ASUP Films is a service supported by ASUP for the benefit of all UP students. It also provides a platform for clubs and other organizations to make use of the art of film to reach a wide audience. Core Duties Responsible for the ASUP Film service and the planning of movie showings for students Plans and hosts at least two movies events per semester Coordinates and support clubs interested in showing movies, including accessing film rights and providing concessions Coordinates with ADvantage and the ASUP Director of Communications to market upcoming movies through appropriate media Promotes services and generates new customers Meets with the ASUP Director of Finance when needed to discuss invoicing and billing Hires and supervises staff of 2-4 and leads all staff meetings Ensures movies shown follow the Catholic News Service's movie reviews and guidelines Serves as the contact person between SWANK Motion Company and the University Must be available for monthly showings. Monthly showings are usually on Friday and Saturday, starting at 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM, possibly Thursday night or Sunday afternoon Minimum of 5 hours per week for office availability Other relevant duties as assigned

Fiscal responsibility to manage ASUP Film's budget

Ability to manage concessions inventory

Comfortability operating AV equipment (training provided)
