JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a versatile, motivated Associate Producer to join our small, collaborative team. This role is ideal for someone who is working toward becoming a Producer or 1st Assistant Director, and prior experience in either role is a plus. This leadership position is a part of the entire production process—from concept development and creative brainstorming to pre-production planning, on-set support, and post-production handoff. You'll work closely with our team, take on meaningful responsibilities, and develop the skills needed to grow or quickly move into Producer and/or 1st AD. Because of the small team environment, you'll have the chance to wear many hats and contribute meaningfully to the creative process, including research / ideation, prop cataloging, and on-set logistics. You'll work closely with the director and be a key part of keeping everything running smoothly. The ideal candidate is energetic, quick thinker, proactive, organized, and excited to learn and grow in a fast-paced, creative setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE

• Assist the Director
• Create and distribute Call Sheets
• Lead location scouting
• Loading / unloading of set pieces, props and equipment
• Managing an inventory of props (can include distribution after the shoot)
• Hiring for larger shoots
• Perform administrative office work for onboarding and off boarding, excellent at taking notes, spreadsheets etc
• Help prepare the set with lights, props, equipment etc.
• Assist with brainstorming when needed
• Assist with research and sourcing materials
• Using personal automobile for runs and various tasks
• Act as a runner distributing messages or shopping for items and returns and undertake all errands as assigned
• Oversee Meals on shoot days

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE

• Strength in handling timelines, spreadsheets, etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Knowledge of Physical production required
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, be a self-starter, anticipate the needs of the producer and director
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and be self sufficient
• Ability to work independently and take initiative along with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, reliable, mature, professional and positive attitude required
• An attitude that no job is too big or too small
