Job Description
This position is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitable production.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingCreate and maintain master production schedules.
Coordinate workflow between:
Embroidery DepartmentSewing DepartmentFinishing DepartmentShipping DepartmentPrioritize production based on customer deadlines and operational capacity.
Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
Conduct daily production status reviews.
Monitor production throughput and efficiency.
Sales & Customer CoordinationAct as the primary liaison between sales staff and production teams.
Review incoming orders for completeness and manufacturability.
Confirm production timelines with customers.
Provide order status updates.
Manage customer expectations regarding delivery dates.
Coordinate rush orders and schedule adjustments.
Work Order ManagementCreate and distribute production work orders.
Verify specifications, artwork, embroidery files, and production instructions.
Ensure all departments receive accurate job documentation.
Track orders throughout production.
Monitor progress against scheduled completion dates.
Inventory & Purchasing CoordinationCoordinate with purchasing staff on:
Fabric requirementsTrim requirementsThread inventoryPackaging materialsDecoration suppliesForecast material needs based on production schedules.
Monitor shortages and communicate risks proactively.
Assist in vendor coordination.
Quality Control OversightEnsure production specifications are followed.
Coordinate quality inspections throughout production.
Identify recurring quality issues.
Implement corrective actions.
Review customer complaints and returns.
Develop continuous improvement initiatives.

QualificationsRequired3+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations management experience.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and production tracking systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Bi-lingual in Spanish/English PreferredApparel manufacturing experience.
Embroidery production experience.
Contract manufacturing experience.
ERP or production scheduling software experience.
Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
Inventory management experience.
