PRECAST CONCRETE PRODUCTION MANAGER / PLANT MANAGER

Job Description

COC General Services LLC is recruiting an experienced Precast Concrete Production Manager / Plant Manager for a confidential client's manufacturing operation in Winder, Georgia . We are looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader with direct precast concrete production experience who can lead plant-floor operations, develop supervisors and production teams, improve productivity, strengthen quality controls, and build consistent, repeatable manufacturing processes. This is not a general construction management or ready-mix position . Candidates must have direct experience in a precast or prestressed concrete manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day precast concrete manufacturing operations. Manage supervisors, foremen, production employees, staffing, shifts, and daily production priorities. Oversee the production process from forms/molds and reinforcement/embeds through casting, consolidation, curing, stripping, finishing, QC, handling, storage, and shipping . Read and work from production/shop drawings and specifications. Establish daily production targets and monitor actual production against plan. Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks. Improve labor productivity and utilization of existing plant equipment. Determine whether production constraints are related to staffing, supervision, workflow, equipment utilization, downtime, materials, or process discipline. Reduce defects, rework, waste, and production variability through root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Develop supervisors and establish clear accountability throughout the production team. Coordinate materials, production scheduling, quality, maintenance, and shipping requirements. Maintain strong safety and quality standards. Implement Lean, 5S, continuous improvement, and standardized work practices where appropriate. Track KPIs related to production output, productivity, downtime, quality, rework, safety, and schedule performance. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on precast or prestressed concrete manufacturing experience. Direct experience manufacturing large precast concrete elements , preferably structural products such as columns, beams, wall panels, slabs, piles, bridge components, sound walls, or similar products. Demonstrated responsibility for plant-floor production operations. Experience directly managing supervisors/foremen and production employees. Strong understanding of precast manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and production drawings. Demonstrated ability to improve production, capacity, labor productivity, quality, or equipment utilization. Ability to provide specific, measurable examples of operational improvements . Experience identifying root causes of defects and implementing corrective actions. Strong hands-on leadership and accountability. English proficiency required. Must be able to work permanently on-site in Winder, GA . Preferred Qualifications Experience with structural precast concrete manufacturing. Plant startup, expansion, stabilization, or production scaling experience. Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience. Experience improving utilization of existing production equipment. Experience with material tracking and production planning. Experience developing supervisors and building production teams. Spanish or Russian language skills are a plus. What We're Looking For The strongest candidate will be able to demonstrate: What the plant was producing before an improvement. What production problem or bottleneck existed. What they personally changed. The measurable production or quality result afterward. We are looking for a leader who is comfortable on the plant floor , not an office-only manager.
