Candidate Will Champion Upon Start:

• Lead enterprise-wide lean manufacturing initiatives that increase throughput, eliminate waste, and strengthen productivity across the facility.
• Build scalable manufacturing process capture and documentation systems that improve consistency, training, quality control, and operational accountability.
• Advance production planning and forecasting practices to improve labor utilization, material readiness, schedule adherence, and on-time delivery performance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership oversight for daily facility operations across fabrication, machining, finishing, maintenance coordination, staffing, material flow, shipping readiness, and workflow execution.
• Lead and align production teams engaged in laser cutting, forming, rolling, bending, welding, and related metal fabrication processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Set operational priorities, allocate work, monitor production schedules, and drive accountability for customer commitments, internal deadlines, and on-time delivery performance.
• Leverage blueprints, job orders, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing routings to ensure accurate execution, resource planning, and cross-functional production readiness.
• Champion a proactive safety culture by reinforcing PPE compliance, housekeeping standards, policy adherence, and facility-wide ownership of safe work practices.
• Develop frontline leaders and production employees through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, skill development, and clear expectations for accountability and execution.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Shipping, office staff, and senior leadership to remove barriers, improve material flow, maintain equipment readiness, and protect product standards.
• Oversee equipment performance and preventive maintenance coordination to support uptime, reliability, and long-term facility capacity.
• Advance lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve throughput, strengthen communication, and improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
• Establish and communicate key operational performance metrics, including safety, quality, OEE, scrap, labor utilization, schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and production efficiency.
• Ensure labor, materials, tools, supplies, and equipment resources are aligned with production priorities, customer requirements, and facility performance goals.
• Serve as a strategic communication bridge between production employees, supervisors, management, and ownership, providing clear visibility into operational priorities, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive supervisory, plant, operations, or production leadership experience within metal manufacturing, precision fabrication, machining, or a similar industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of metal fabrication operations, equipment, and workflow, including welding, forming, bending, rolling, laser cutting, machining, and facility-wide production flow.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical job documentation, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing routings to support accurate execution, planning, and operational decision-making.
• Experience leveraging ERP/MRP systems, production planning tools, scheduling disciplines, KPI dashboards, and operational data to improve visibility, accountability, and performance.
• Proven success leading lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives that produce measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost control, and throughput.
• Strong people leadership capability with a track record of developing supervisors and production teams, coaching for performance, building accountability, and aligning employees around operational priorities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with ownership, senior leadership, engineering, quality, safety, maintenance, purchasing, logistics, and office teams to solve problems and advance facility goals.
• Business-minded operational leader with strong planning, communication, organization, problem-solving, adaptability, and judgment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred, with the ability to use data to support production analysis, planning, and performance reporting.
• Forklift certification preferred; Lean Six Sigma or related manufacturing certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent hands-on leadership experience preferred.

• Full-time, onsite leadership role with a Monday-Friday schedule.
