Accountabilities The Ho Tung Visualization Laboratory & Planetarium seeks a creative and motivated producer to assist in the development of digital content supporting a wide range of curricula, including Colgate courses and research. The producer will collaborate with Vis Lab staff to create immersive visualizations, animations, and interactive modules for use in the planetarium and related educational initiatives. The position includes training in a variety of industry-standard software tools used in content creation, including Blender, Digistar programming, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Unreal Engine, and other visualization platforms. Prior experience with one or more of these programs is recommended but not required. The Producer will work both independently and as part of a collaborative production team. Specialized techniques and workflows unique to fulldome and immersive content creation will be taught and supervised by Vis Lab staff. Professional Experience/ Qualifications Strong interest in digital media, animation, visualization, or immersive technology Ability to work independently and manage creative projects Willingness to learn new software and technical production skills Prior experience with Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, Unreal Engine, or related tools preferred Preferred Qualifications Self paced Knowledge of production workflow Working knowledge of computer software General knowledge of Astronomy/Earth Science or related field Education High school or equivalent
