Las Vegas, is looking for an experienced, fully bilingual (Spanish) digital reporter to join the #1 broadcast and digital news team in Las Vegas. This team member will have a digital-first mindset and be equipped with the skill set to push accurate story coverage forward for online and on-air. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Generate strong story ideas and produce /report those stories for on-air and on digital channels including FOX5 and Vegas.
- Must be experienced in handling breaking news live field coverage as needed.
- Proficiency in writing and speaking both English and Spanish is a necessity for this role.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum three years of experience as a reporter/digial reporting in a TV/Print Newsroom.
- Fully bilingual in English AND Spanish is required. Must be able to report on air and online in both English and Spanish.
- Proven, demonstrated ability to conceive and pitch strong enterprise (original) story ideas that support the FOX5 "Local Las Vegas" and Vegas.hoy.com brands.
- Background must include, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in broadcast/digital journalism or the equivalent.
