The Bryan Gallery, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is looking for an enthusiastic, people-oriented Gallery Associate to join our Stowe location. For over 40 years, we've been a destination for exceptional New England landscape art—connecting collectors with artists and creating meaningful experiences through art. Position Overview The Gallery Associate plays a key role in daily operations, client engagement, and art sales. This position requires a balance of strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and enthusiasm for fine art. What You'll Do Create a welcoming, memorable experience for every visitor Build lasting relationships with collectors and first-time buyers alike Confidently present and sell original artwork Learn and share the stories behind artists and their work Assist with exhibition installations and gallery transformations Be part of exhibition openings, events, and special programs Help maintain a beautiful, professional gallery space What We're Looking For A natural communicator with strong sales instincts Someone who enjoys connecting with people and closing sales Passion for art (knowledge of fine art is a strong plus) Professional, reliable, and self-motivated Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Retail, sales, or gallery experience preferred Schedule Wednesday-Sunday (weekends required) Additional hours for openings, events, and installations Compensation & Benefits $36,000 base salary Uncapped commission — your success directly impacts your earnings Paid vacation 403(b) retirement plan How to Apply To apply, please a cover letter with resume to Executive Director, Stephen Gothard.
