$90,000 - $130,000Knowesis is seeking an SME III - Science Writer to translate complex scientific findings and psychological health concepts into accessible, impactful communications. This role ensures the high-quality presentation of the center's research artifacts to leadership, clinicians, and the public.The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide technical/science writing support to develop impactful written artifacts communicating PHCoE initiatives and research findings.
- Support the editing and review of written content intended for internal use or public release.
- Work with technical subject matter experts to write brief information products highlighting center accomplishments.
- Ensure continuity of voice across products while translating complex scientific and health concepts for general audiences.
- Review content for adnce to DoD, DHA, and other policies governing the release of government information.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in science, medical, or technical writing, including leading a strategic communications team in direct coordination with center leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AMA or APA style guidelines.
- Previous experience writing for federal health agencies or academic research institutions.
