This person ensures that all dishes and silverware are spotless and sparkling. Responsibilities include safely operating an automatic dishwashing machine, washing pots and pans, performing general kitchen clean-up duties and disposing of all waste. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers. Sort and stack clean dishes properly, ensuring they are stored in designated areas. Empty and clean trash receptacles regularly. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and countertops. Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents. Adhere to proper food handling and storage guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
