Job Description
Role Overview Compensation:
$42,000-$52,000 annually (W2), depending on experience This role is designed for an educator who genuinely loves early childhood learning and understands how much the early years shape a child's confidence, curiosity, and long-term relationship with school. You'll work closely with two young learners in a private, in-home setting, helping create a learning environment that feels structured, joyful, engaging, and calm. The focus is not on pressure or rigid academic performance metrics. Instead, the family is looking for an educator who can help their children enjoy learning, build confidence, develop strong foundational skills, and settle into positive routines around school and learning. This is a part-time, high-impact role for someone who comes prepared, takes ownership of their work, and knows how to create meaningful progress in a focused amount of instructional time. The family is deeply invested in their children and values a teacher who can step in confidently, lead the educational experience thoughtfully, and become a trusted long-term presence in the home. Student Profile You'll primarily work with two young children in the Pre-K and Kindergarten stages, with a younger sibling gradually beginning to participate over time. The children are bright, energetic, and benefit from an educator who can hold their attention, maintain gentle structure, and create a warm, engaging learning environment. The family values faith, family connection, and intentional education. Parents are highly involved and present, but they are hoping to find someone who can confidently own the instructional side of the children's learning so that school feels positive and sustainable at home — not like a daily struggle or negotiation. The right educator will understand that success in this role is not measured by spreadsheets or constant grade-level benchmarking. The family cares most about helping their children enjoy learning, feel confident, develop independence, and build positive routines and momentum around education. Faith is an important part of the home, and the family is looking for someone who can naturally and comfortably incorporate Christian values and Biblical themes into daily learning in an age-appropriate, authentic way. What You'll Do Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction for Pre-K and Kindergarten learners Build strong foundations in early literacy, phonics, reading readiness, and early math Use hands-on, play-based, and multi-sensory teaching approaches that keep young learners engaged Create structured, predictable learning routines that balance warmth, focus, and fun Incorporate faith-based learning and Biblical themes naturally throughout instruction Come prepared with thoughtful lesson plans, materials, and clear instructional goals Foster confidence, independence, and positive learning habits in young children Track overall growth and communicate proactively with parents about progress, observations, and recommendations Maximize learning during limited instructional hours through intentional, efficient teaching Collaborate smoothly with parents and existing household support, including the family's nanny Travel with the family occasionally to provide continuity and consistency in learning What Makes Someone Successful You genuinely enjoy working with young children and know how to build trust, connection, and engagement quickly You are proactive, prepared, and organized — not someone who improvises your way through sessions You understand how to teach foundational literacy effectively, not just supervise activities You balance warmth and enthusiasm with calm structure and clear expectations You communicate clearly and thoughtfully with parents and value partnership with families You are comfortable working in a private-home environment with professionalism and discretion You understand that emotional confidence and a love of learning matter just as much as academic growth You are aligned with a faith-centered household and comfortable incorporating Christian values naturally into the learning experience You are interested in building a trusted, long-term relationship with the familyLogistics & Compensation Location:
