- Sounds of Color Studio, Orange County's best music and creative arts school, is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Visual Art Teacher to meet our growing demand.
Job Requirements:
To plan and teach visual art classes for groups of students ages 5 and up Prepare fun weekly projects that support student engagement and skill development Prompt communication with parents/guardians and timely updates on student progress Prepare and clean up the classroom area before/after each class Clean background check and medical clearance (Live Scan fingerprint clearance with Department of Justice and FBI is required prior to official start of employment) Reliable transportationThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Engaging and friendly personality Comfortable working with groups of students of various ages and skill levels Independent worker with excellent time-management skills Strong organization and planning skills Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written Effective classroom management skills A strong background and passion for visual art Experience teaching visual art classes is required Additional experience teaching with professional digital art software (ex. Procreate), Wacom® tablets, iPad + Apple Pencil is preferred Candidates may be asked to submit a portfolio of relevant work for reviewJob Type:
Contract (Part-Time) In-Person Sounds of Color Studio is open Monday- Saturday. Weekday hours (Monday
- Friday) are "after school" typically between 3pm
- 8pm. Saturday hours are 9am
- 2pm.
