Oregon City High School Position Description:
Oregon City High School is looking for an outstanding , dynamic teacher to join our Art department. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who puts student success first and understands the importance of positive relationships with all students. The specific courses this teacher will teach have not been determined.Special Requirements:
(Certification, training, specialty skills or previous experience) 1. Valid Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in Art. Masters degree in Art or related subject matter preferred. 2. Previous High School experience teaching a variety of visual arts preferred. 3. Knowledge and training in AVID and WICOR strategies preferred. 4. Ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to assess student learning. 5. Ability to manage student behavior and provide a safe, culturally responsive learning environment. 6.Personal attributes:
High energy, creativity, student-friendly, excellent attendance, knowledge and use of technology in class. 7. Ability to work well as a team member in a collaborative environment.
