In this role, you will design engaging lessons that foster cultural appreciation and language proficiency, ensuring students develop strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive Chinese language curricula tailored to different age groups and learning styles. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, assign homework, and communicate with students and parents effectively. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with special education requirements or disabilities. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Assess student performance regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing when applicable. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and sharing best practices to improve overall teaching effectiveness. Experience Prior classroom teaching experience in elementary or middle school settings, preferably with experience in private or international schools. Demonstrated expertise in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation for language instruction. Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting lessons to various learning styles. Familiarity with educational compliance standards, literacy education, math integration, and instructional modifications for special needs students. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement. Strong communication skills for parent engagement, teacher collaboration, and student support. Background in working with students with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
