As a French Immersion Teacher, the educator will provide high-quality, communicative world language instruction to 5th Grade elementary students. As a French Reading Support teacher, the educator will provide targeted, data-driven literacy interventions, diagnostics, and support for students navigating French literacy (specifically tailored for French Immersion).Performance ResponsibilitiesAs Elementary French Teacher (0.6 FTE)

Instructional Delivery:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate French lessons aligned with the Massachusetts World Languages Curriculum Framework.Communicative Approach:
Conduct classes primarily in the target language in an immersive classroom utilizing comprehensible input, Total Physical Response (TPR), and storytelling to build proficiency.Cultural Competency:
Integrate cultural practices, products, and perspectives of the francophone world into daily instruction.Classroom Management:
Establish a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment conducive to language acquisition.Assessment:
Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress in the three modes of communication: Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational.As French Reading Support Teacher(0.4 FTE)
