Sunday classes in Quincy, MA, starting November 8, 2026

Schedules:

Sundays 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Sundays 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm NELS is conveniently located across the street from the Quincy Center MBTA Red Line station. New England Language School (NELS) is a local institution with a global reach through language education for adults and teenagers. Our mission is to provide the foreign language skills and cultural knowledge students need to communicate effectively and achieve their personal, professional, or academic goals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in TESOL, applied linguistics, education, or a related field.

Minimum:

TEFL or CELTA certification and bachelor's degree. Have at least 1 year of ESL teaching experience Native fluency in English Be able to attend an in-person interview and teach

IN-PERSON

in Quincy, MA Be computer literate and competent in using the internet, Microsoft office, and Zoom - as some students may choose to attend class online. Selected candidates will be asked to teach a demonstration lesson. Job description Teach grammar, speaking skills, listening comprehension, writing skills, reading comprehension, pronunciation, and vocabulary to BEGINNER-level students using an assigned textbook Give homework and feedback Maintain up-to-date records (i.e. attendance, timesheets, class notes, test scores) Compensation $23-27 per hour commensurate with experience and qualifications Free language classes Please send a cover letter with your resume and two teaching references.
