Spanish Teacher (Full or Part-time) Washtenaw Christian Academy is seeking a MS/HS Spanish Teacher who excels at developing Spanish communication skills in students. This is a part-time position unless combined with other teaching opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a love for God, a love for children, and a desire to train students in the Spanish language. Christian commitment is a must.
Instructional Duties:
Teach Spanish 1-4 as needed Offer academic support to students outside of class hours Tailor instruction to accommodate individual student learning needs Design comprehensive units and engaging lesson plans aligned to standards Utilize effective instructional strategies to foster active student learning Maintain accurate records of student performance and regularly communicate progress with families Carry out additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Deep understanding of effective teaching practices Ability to develop curriculum aligned with standardized testing standards Strong communication skills (oral and written) and excellent organizational abilities Proficient in using technology Commitment to a personal and growing relationship with
Jesus Christ Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field (Required)
Experience & Certification:
Must hold a valid Michigan Secondary Education Teaching Certificate or be eligible for certification. Experience teaching at the high school level Spanish endorsement preferred Education that includes a Bachelor's in Spanish Education with a state teaching certificate (FF) is preferred.
