Nile Language School is seeking qualified adjunct ESL instructors to teach adult English language learners at our Ridgewood, New Jersey campus. We welcome educators who enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds and helping them build confidence in English. Responsibilities Teach engaging lessons in reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary. Prepare lessons aligned with the school's curriculum, syllabi, and student learning outcomes. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and follow established grading policies. Maintain accurate attendance records, grades, and course documentation. Communicate with the Academic Director about student progress and academic concerns. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, classroom observations, and performance evaluations according to school policies. Create a respectful and supportive classroom environment. Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree or higher, with formal education and training in ESL/EFL teaching. Candidates with degrees in other fields must demonstrate preparation in language teaching methods, linguistics, English language structure, second language acquisition, intercultural communication, and teaching practicum experience. Relevant experience teaching English to adult or postsecondary learners, including supervised teaching experience. Excellent spoken and written English. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to teach in person in Ridgewood, NJ. Preferred Qualifications A master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field with an ESL/EFL teaching focus. Experience teaching in an intensive English program. Familiarity with student assessment and educational technology. Schedule This is a part-time position.

Potential teaching schedules include:

Daytime:

Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-1:30 PM.

Evening:

Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM-8:30 PM.

Weekend:

Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Two-day options:

Monday-Tuesday or Thursday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Class assignments are made on an as-needed basis, depending on course availability, student enrollment, and instructor availability. Please indicate your preferred days and times when applying.

Pay:

$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 36.0 per week
