The Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking a 12 month administrative assistant to the Assistant Principal at Ben Franklin Middle School. This individual will facilitate the efficient operation of the school office and provide clerical services to the Assistant Principal. They will handle confidential information and have frequent contact with all levels of district personnel and the general public.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet, monitor and record the entry and exit of school visitors for security purposes. Ensure that visitors display proper identification Provide general secretarial support to the Principal, including the handling of correspondence, monthly reporting, weekly memos, scheduling appointments for the assistant principal and answering phones Complete special projects as assigned by the Assistant Principal Work with the Public Information Officer managing communications and the district website
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent Prior school district administrative assistant experience preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate and work effectively with staff, administrators, vendors/consultants and paraprofessionals Effective time management, problem-solving, organizational, and written and verbal skills Strong technology skills, preferably with experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other web based applications Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work effectively as a team member and to collaborate on group projects to ensure their successful completion

Working Conditions:
Full-time, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $53,796-$65,756, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.
