Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chinese Teacher to inspire and educate students in mastering the Chinese language and culture. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, utilize innovative learning technologies, and foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and confidence. Your expertise will help students develop strong literacy skills, cultural awareness, and a love for learning Mandarin. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys while working within a dynamic and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with language standards, incorporating modern teaching methods and learning technology tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS). Deliver engaging lessons that cover speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural components of the Chinese language. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and ongoing assessments. Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs, including students with disabilities or special education requirements. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation. Incorporate literacy education techniques alongside math integration where appropriate to support holistic development. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, share best practices, and participate in professional development opportunities related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or other educational frameworks. Requirements Proven classroom experience teaching Chinese or similar language courses at various levels. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with LMS platforms and other learning technology tools for remote or hybrid instruction. Experience working with children of different age groups, including those with special needs or disabilities. Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively. Understanding of literacy education principles, standardized testing procedures, and behavior management techniques. Prior experience in private schools or Montessori settings is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners while fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere focused on childhood development and childcare principles.
