Communicate effectively using American Sign Language (ASL).Collaborate with school staff and other educational professionals as needed.
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher.
Valid Tennessee teaching license.
ESL endorsement on the teaching license.
Background and experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Proficiency in or strong working knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL).Ability to develop individualized instruction and adapt educational materials.

Approximately 1 hour per day, 5 days per week Position Overview The Tennessee School for the Deaf is seeking an experienced ESL Teacher to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students whose foundation in written or spoken language is other than English.
