Part-Time Spanish Teacher & Coordinator — Cobb County/Hybrid About the Position Brilliant Bilingual is seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a part-time Spanish Teacher & Coordinator. This hybrid position combines direct classroom teaching with administrative coordination. The right candidate will be an engaging, classroom-ready teacher who can also support other teachers, protect instructional standards, solve problems independently, and help ensure consistent program quality across Brilliant Bilingual partner schools. This is not simply a teaching position with a few additional administrative tasks. We are seeking someone who can gradually assume meaningful ownership of the instructional function—including teacher support, classroom observations, instructional onboarding, curriculum coordination, and instructional problem-solving. Schedule & Location This position averages approximately 10-15 hours per week and includes in-person and remote responsibilities.
Current in-person teaching assignment:
Three weekday afternoons per week Current schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays Approximately 2:00-4:00 p.m. Three partner-school locations in the Powder Springs area (must be willing to support Smyrna, Marietta, Kennesaw as needed) On-site during teaching assignments Also see remote duties below Semester scheduling requirement: Candidates must have sufficient weekday flexibility to accommodate a recurring three-day teaching schedule each semester. The three assigned days will generally remain consistent throughout the semester but may change between semesters based on partner-school schedules and program needs.
Remote responsibilities:
Brief email/phone communication check-ins at approximately 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Remote administrative and instructional-coordination work completed on a flexible schedule Approximately two hours of weekly availability for virtual meetings Monthly office requirement: In-person administrative work session at the Brilliant Bilingual office in the College Park area approximately once per month Brilliant Bilingual observes a complete two-week winter closure with no scheduled work. School-Year Commitment Commitment through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year is required. Our students, teachers, and partner schools depend on consistent instructional leadership and reliable support. This position is intended for an educator seeking stable, meaningful part-time work—not temporary or placeholder employment while pursuing another immediate opportunity. Candidates must be able to maintain their assigned three-day teaching schedule throughout each semester and understand that the specific three-day schedule may change between semesters. What You'll DoTeaching Deliver engaging Spanish instruction aligned with the Brilliant Bilingual curriculum Establish and consistently reinforce classroom expectations and routines Maintain an organized, productive, and welcoming learning environment Build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate authority Respond calmly and effectively to classroom-management challenges Monitor student participation, learning, and progress Follow partner-school procedures and safety expectations Represent Brilliant Bilingual professionally at all partner locations Instructional Leadership and Teacher Support Observe teachers and identify the highest-leverage areas for improvement Provide clear, actionable, and respectful instructional feedback Support teachers in implementing feedback and improving classroom practice Assist teachers with classroom management, student engagement, and instructional problem-solving Support instructional onboarding and readiness for newly hired teachers Help teachers understand and consistently implement Brilliant Bilingual standards Address instructional or performance concerns rather than allowing problems to escalate Build trusting relationships with teachers while maintaining appropriate accountability Curriculum and Program Coordination Review lesson plans, instructional materials, and curriculum implementation for quality and alignment Coordinate with curriculum contributors and other team members Translate leadership objectives and feedback into clear execution plans Monitor instructional projects, milestones, quality standards, and deadlines Resolve routine instructional issues independently Maintain instructional documentation and contribute to SOP development Communicate proactively with the CEO and administrative team about progress, risks, and decisions requiring escalation Participate in administrative planning and cross-functional coordination Required Qualifications Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience Demonstrated classroom-management ability Experience teaching Spanish, another language, or bilingual learners Fluent or near-fluent Spanish Professional English proficiency sufficient for coaching teachers and communicating with school personnel and company leadership Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, lead, or support the development of colleagues Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound judgment and professional discretion Ability to receive an objective, determine the next steps, and move work forward independently Ability to track commitments, meet deadlines, and close communication loops Reliable transportation Ability to accommodate a recurring three-day weekday teaching schedule from approximately 2:00-4:00 p.m. Availability to complete brief weekday email/phone check-ins at approximately 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. Morning availability for approximately two hours of virtual meetings per week on one of the three assigned workdays Ability to attend an in-person administrative work session in the College Park area approximately once per month Ability to commit through May 2027 Ability to complete all required background-clearance procedures successfully Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher Three or more years of K-12 teaching experience Experience teaching elementary-age students Experience with communicative or proficiency-based language instruction Who Will Thrive in This Role?
Compensation Pay:
$25-30/hr based on experience Approximately 10-15 hours per week Hybrid teaching, instructional leadership, and administrative work Professional development and instructional support Opportunity for additional substitute teaching, day-program assignments, or instructional work based on candidate availability and organizational needs Hiring Process Selected candidates will participate in an initial interview and may be invited to complete: Video interview A live teaching demonstration A small administrative problem-solving task Professional reference checks and background-clearance procedures are required before placement.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
