ESL Position, Knoxville Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher Valid Tennessee teaching license with an ESL endorsement .Description:
- This position currently serves two students for 1 hour a day 5 days a week.
- An English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students specializes in creating a learning environment tailored to the needs of students with a foundation in written or spoken language other than English who have hearing loss.
- The teacher develops individual learning plans (ILP), individualized lesson plans, adapts materials, and employs strategies to ensure that all students can participate fully in lessons and activities.
- The number of students can change depending on enrolment.
- The educator needs to have a background in American Sign Language usage and be able to sign.
