215110 - Biology and Integrated Science, Bus & Tech Position Summary La Salle University's Biology program has a need for a highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a section of our first-year introductory course for our Biology majors titledScientific Discovery:
Phage Hunting . The course is a course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE), a semester-long project where students isolate and characterize phages they sample from the environment. The class also introduces students to biology and common biology-laboratory techniques and procedures. Information about theSEAPHAGES

The course is an integrated laboratory and lecture, and the ideal instructor would have experience in common cell and microbiology laboratory procedures and techniques. The course is scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm - 4:45 pm, starting 8/31/2026-12/11/2026 (final exams through 12/18/2026). Essential Duties- Teach assigned course(s).
- Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives.
- Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
- Provide guidance and support to students.
