Documents must be attached via EdJoin.org Contact Email htorres@monroviaschools.net Job Summary Job Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Bands, Administration, and Band Booster Club, perform the various duties of a color guard instructor, including:
- Provide instruction in relevant movement, equipment, and expression to designated color guard and band students as necessary. This should include basic techniques of the activity as well as specific work, staging, and drill for performance productions throughout the year.
- Develop choreography for any and all required performances.
- Design and/or oversee design (with supervision of the Director) of color guard costuming, equipment, props, etc.
- Collaborate with the Director of Bands and design staff in development of performance productions.
- Oversee recruitment and retention efforts in color guard membership.
- When necessary and appropriate, communicate with parents and stakeholders in person, at general meetings, or via phone/email in matters germane to the color guard program and its members.

- "Heat Illness Prevention" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (www.nfhslearn.com)
CPR & First Aid:
evidence of current certification. MUST be recognized by the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. (Online Courses unacceptable)
TB Test:
Evidence of current negative test OR Adult TB Risk Assessment Form.
- Current Driver License at time of employment.
