About Us Jaguar Athletics is South Florida's premier cheer and tumbling program, dedicated to shaping confident, serving athletes from Tiny Novice through Prep and Elite levels. We're committed to building confident, skilled athletes in a positive, family-focused environment, and we're looking for a passionate coach to help our teams grow on and off the mat. Position Summary The All Star Cheerleading Coach leads assigned teams through practices, choreography, skill development, and competitions. This person develops athletes' technical skills safely and progressively, builds strong team culture, and communicates regularly with parents and gym staff.
Key Responsibilities Plan and run structured practices focused on stunting, tumbling, jumps, pyramids, and routine execution Teach and progress skills safely according to USASF and IASF guidelines and each athlete's readiness Help build, clean, and refine competition routines alongside choreographers and staff Travel with teams to local and out-of-town competitions and events, managing warm-ups and athlete readiness Track athlete progress and assign skill homework (including reviewing flyer and tumbling video submissions) Communicate clearly and professionally with parents through the gym's messaging channels (Band app, email) Promote a culture of sportsmanship, respect, accountability, and teamwork Support gym events such as showcases, clinics, tryouts, and open gyms Maintain a clean, organized, safe practice environment and follow all gym policies
Qualifications Required:
Current USASF coaching credentials, or the ability to obtain them within 30 days of hire USASF Professional Membership, including a background check and SafeSport training Strong knowledge of All Star cheer rules, scoring, and skill progressions Ability to spot stunts and tumbling safely Availability for evenings, weekends, and competition travel At least 18 years of age
Preferred:
[2+] years of All Star coaching experience Prior experience as an All Star athlete Experience coaching multiple levels, from Tiny/Novice through Elite Choreography or routine-building experience What We're Looking For We want someone who is patient, organized, and encouraging, can hold athletes to high standards while keeping practice fun, and handles competition days calmly. Reliability and a team-first attitude with fellow coaches matter as much as technical ability. Physical Requirements The coach must be able to stand for long periods, demonstrate and spot skills, lift and support athletes during stunting, and work in an active gym environment.
