Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and lead classes to teach fundamentals in basketball
- Follow lesson plans that align with the goals and objectives of the program
- Be mobile and able to arrive at local elementary schools in Cobb County on time
- Teach and educate students on proper techniques, rules, and strategies related to the lesson plan
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their skills
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing rules and regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience working with students in a teaching or coaching capacity
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Familiarity with basketball and the game
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students or groups
- Experience in physical education or related field is a plus
